Type 310, austenitic stainless steel are typically used for elevated temperature applications. Their high chromium and nickel contents provides comparable corrosion resistance superior resistance to oxidation and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic alloys like Type 304.

The aloys are available in as 310 stainless steel plates, ss 310 sheets, coils and strips.
